Donates ₦100 Million to Support Maiduguri Flood Victims
In September 2024, Mainstream Energy Solutions Limited (MESL), operators of the Kainji, Jebba, and Zungeru hydropower plants, donated ₦100 million to support victims of the devastating flood in Maiduguri, Borno State, which was triggered by the collapse of the Alau Dam.
A delegation led by Managing Director Engr. Lamu Audu presented the cheque to Governor Babagana Zulum at the Government House, where MESL expressed deep sympathy for the lives lost, property destroyed, and the displacement caused by the disaster. Engr. Audu reaffirmed the company’s solidarity with the people of Maiduguri, acknowledging the immense hardship the community now faces.
Governor Zulum expressed gratitude for the support, noting that the donation would significantly strengthen the state’s relief efforts. The gesture further highlights MESL’s commitment to aiding communities and fulfilling its corporate social responsibility in times of crisis.

Inline with te mandate to positively impact lives,we donated food stuffs to 7 communities recently displaced around Yauri Lga of Kebbi State.100bags of Rice, Millet, Maize, 150 cartons of Spaghetti and 20 jerrycans of Vegetable Oil were given to these communities.
